Job Description


  • Provide overall project leadership, management, and technical direction while ensuring compliance with donor requirements and Baylor Uganda policies and guidelines.
Overall Responsibilities
  1. Liaise with donor, district and Ministry of health and implementing partners to ensure coordination of and synergy with other USAID health related activities.
  2. Oversee reports preparation to meet donor and organizational reporting requirements to document program performance and monitor overall award compliance.
  3. Lead preparation of project deliverables, including annual work-plans and project activity updates, and other project-related communication and reporting materials in accordance with donor and organizational requirements.
  4. Provide overall financial oversight of the budget over the life of the project.
  5. Represent the project at regional, national and international fora, including technical conferences, policy briefings, etc.
  6. Organize project teams and oversee production of SOPs to meet project goals and ensure compliance with policies.
  7. Provide guidance and mentoring to managers and staff to achieve project goals and develop strong leadership capacity.
Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
  • 1. A Master’s Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Social Sciences or other relevant fields.3. High level of interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with a broad range of public and private sector counterparts and other key stakeholders;5. Working knowledge and experience with USG and PEPFAR-funded program management, policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Due to urgency to fill this position, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis 
  • 4. Demonstrated leadership skills in working collaboratively with other donors, host country institutions, and international organizations.
  • 2. At least ten (10) years of relevant progressively increasing responsibility in managing large comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs;
