Job Description
- Provide overall project leadership, management, and technical direction while ensuring compliance with donor requirements and Baylor Uganda policies and guidelines.
Overall Responsibilities
- Liaise with donor, district and Ministry of health and implementing partners to ensure coordination of and synergy with other USAID health related activities.
- Oversee reports preparation to meet donor and organizational reporting requirements to document program performance and monitor overall award compliance.
- Lead preparation of project deliverables, including annual work-plans and project activity updates, and other project-related communication and reporting materials in accordance with donor and organizational requirements.
- Provide overall financial oversight of the budget over the life of the project.
- Represent the project at regional, national and international fora, including technical conferences, policy briefings, etc.
- Organize project teams and oversee production of SOPs to meet project goals and ensure compliance with policies.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to managers and staff to achieve project goals and develop strong leadership capacity.
Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
- 1. A Master’s Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Social Sciences or other relevant fields.3. High level of interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with a broad range of public and private sector counterparts and other key stakeholders;5. Working knowledge and experience with USG and PEPFAR-funded program management, policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Due to urgency to fill this position, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis
- 4. Demonstrated leadership skills in working collaboratively with other donors, host country institutions, and international organizations.
- 2. At least ten (10) years of relevant progressively increasing responsibility in managing large comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs;
