Job Description
Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an International NGO promoting community development through adult education on literacy, language, business and livelihood related trainings among refugees and host community member since 1997 in Uganda as an operational partner to UNHCR and OPM. .
FRC in partnership with World Food Programme (WFP) is coordinating 12-month project to scale up Financial Literacy Training (FLT) in 11 refugee settlements: Adjumani, Impevi, Kiryandongo, Kyaka II, Kyangwali, Lobule, Nakivale, Oruchinga, Palorinya, Rhino Camp and Rwamwanja. The FLT training program aims to reach 141,010 refugee households receiving cash-based transfers (CBT) from WFP.
FRC is currently seeking for dynamic, qualified Ugandans to fill the following positions.
2 vacancies in Adjumani and 2 in Kampala.
Reports to: Project Manager
Main purpose:
Team Leader will coordinate and plan the FLT learning cycles to run every 6 weeks, arrange FLT Master workshops, assist in ToT workshops, provide technical support in quality project implementation, data collection and reporting to 6-10 Field Supervisors under each Team Leader. Position holder is required to develop alternative training methodologies. She/he will carry out regular visits to settlements to meet WFP Cooperating partners, other stakeholders and project field teams. This position requires excellent organisational and networking skills.
Qualification:
Bachelors’ degree either in Adult Education, Business / Livelihood Skills, Community Development combined with experience on training adults.
3 Years’ relevant experience at middle management level.
