Minimum Qualification
• Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or Law from a recognized University/Institution. A Post Graduate qualification in a related discipline will be an added advantage.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Rail Transport Officer for performing the following duties:
• Carrying out inspection of railway infrastructure to ensure safety;
• Carrying out public sensitization programmes about safety and discipline in rail transport;
• Participating in drafting and reviewing of Rail transport Laws;
• Carrying out inspection of railway infrastructure to ensure safety;
• Participating in the inspection and licensing of vehicles to ensure safety in liaison with the Principal Licensing Officer;
• Investigating rail transport accidents, causes and advising on mitigation;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
