JOB DETAILS:

Regional Education & Learning Initiative (RELI Africa) is a network of over 60 organizations spread across East Africa (Uganda, Kenya & Tanzania) working towards advancing learning outcomes for collective impact through shared leaming. RELI’s long-term goal is to empower its members to become effective and influential organizations capable of influencing policies and practices towards improved learning outcomes across the region. The three specific objectives of RELI revolve around better coordination & alignment, increased member capacity and policy influence for improved learning outcomes. The RELI Uganda country hub is hosted by Luigi Giussani Institute of Higher Education (LGIHE), a local organization accredited and recognized by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). On behalf of RELI Uganda country hub Leadership Team, LGIHE is inviting suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position of :
RELI Uganda Country Facilitator.

Key Responsibilities:

I. Assists local and international organizations in their monitoring and evaluation system
II. Designs research, collects and analyzes data for evidence production
III. Drafts academic papers for publications, policy briefs and advocacy papers.
IV. Oversees, coordinates key learning events and activities
V. Facilitates peer learning and information sharing
VI. Identifies, writes winning project proposals for grants generation

Minimum Requirements:

• The suitable candidate must be a Master’s Degree holder (a PHD is an added advantage) with strong research skills and learning, monitoring and evaluation background.
• He/ she should have at least 10 years’ working experience in project management preferably within the education sector.

 Required Competences:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and team-work skills. Pays attention to detail.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision. Flexible, committed and keen to deliver on key targets.
• Excellent Computer skills in MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
