Job Title: Resource Mobilisation Coordinator

Overview
Watoto Church and Child Care Ministries has experienced exponential growth in the past couple of years composed of multiple Celebration Centers (Campuses) and diverse Community care initiatives that include; Child Care, Community and Neighborhood, Education and FM Radio amongst others. In all of this, Watoto remains a local church, committed to celebrating Christ and caring for community.
Watoto is seeking to recruit a resource mobilisation coordinator to support with coordinating the process for producing high quality proposals and grant applications. Identify new and non-traditional sources of funding from a range of institutional donors to leverage Watoto’s funding prospects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)
• To ensure there is effective coordination of resource mobilisation activities and maintain a positive working relationship with Community Care team.
• To participate in all all-fundraising related activities when required.
• To advise programme quality teams and finance on relevant donor requirements, potential funding opportunities, changes in donor priorities and ensure quality grant management.
• To oversee development and submission of all external donor reports in compliance with donor requirements and deadlines.
• To liaise with all the funding affiliates and relevant departments to ensure high quality and timely submission of proposals, concept notes and project reports to donors and funding affiliate.
• To determine proposal concept, study requests for proposals (RFPs) and attend strategy meetings.
• To facilitate discussions, generate ideas and concepts, and translate these into innovative grant-winning proposals.
• To lead grant writing for some proposals and manage grants management lifecycle to ensure timeliness and accuracy of relevant-data. _
• To establish and implement proper grants management procedures, including but not limited to award notifications, grant agreements, and grant reporting.
• To design initiatives that enhance internal capacity for grant writing and proposal development and assist in preparing budgets for grant applications.
• • To manage applications, correspondences, records, reports and other documentation for new and existing donors and Funders.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience.
• The applicant for the- role should hold at Least a minimum of a Master’s degree in social sciences, humanities, development studies, human rights, political science, or other relevant discipline.
• At least a minimum of four years’ working experience with an NGO in a resource mobilisation position involving proposal development and donor liaison.
• Experience of developing successful proposals or tender bids to the EU, DFID, USAID, and private donors.
• Should have an experience with local and international funding organisations and resource mobilisation initiatives.
• • Proven ability to identify and pursue strategic funding opportunities. . _
• Should have an excellent writing, reasoning, and analytical skills.
