Job Description


A career in our Corporate Transfer Pricing practice, within Transfer Pricing services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients develop compliant, tax efficient structures that help advance their business goals. You’ll focus on all aspects of documentation planning, dispute resolution, and advance pricing agreements.

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Identify tax and transfer pricing issues and recommending solutions tailored to clients’ strategic and commercial objectives whilst considering the regulatory environment.
Manage existing client portfolios and maintain sound client relationships.
Identify new opportunities within existing clients.
Leverage on internal and external networks to enhance firm’s connectivity, performance and profitability opportunities.
Ensure compliance with risk management procedures on own and team assignments.
Ensure that financial targets of self and team are achieved.
Provide coaching to the team on an ongoing basis.
Provide performance feedback on assignments and input to appraisals for other junior staff.
Provide support and leadership in writing technical opinions and or reports on for clients.
Conduct technical training – internal and to clients as and when required.

Technical and soft skills required:

Good understanding of the tax framework in Uganda.
Working knowledge of international framework on transfer pricing and international tax and good to excellent understanding of ongoing international tax reforms.
Ability to prepare transfer pricing documentation, deliver on transfer pricing planning and transfer pricing dispute resolution assignments.
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Commercial expertise to manage client relationships.
Proven record of business development and negotiation skills.
Good leadership skills, effective team player and good project management skills.

Experience required:

At least five years of tax experience with at least two of those relating to advisory work and specialising in transfer pricing and/or international tax.

Academic qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university,
An economics, accounting, legal or tax professional qualification.
