Job Description


Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

 

To develop and execute strategy, policies and procedures for the management of Mobile Money sales and to manage and develop staff in regional sales, and direct sales to achieve set performance targets.

 

Main Job Functions:

 

  • Execute strategy, policies and procedure for management of Mobile Money sales operations and ensure set revenue and acquisition targets are met
  • To manage and motivate staff in regional sales, and direct sales, to achieve set targets
  • Develop strong partnership with Agents and partners and initiate joint marketing campaigns
  • Deploy staff to achieve departmental and Organizational objectives.
  • Manage expansion of the Company’s Mobile Money retail footprint to ensure product availability at “arm’s length of desire”
  • Ensure the Company’s products and services remain competitive in terms of depth, breadth, customer experience and branding
  • Reviews procedures, policies and work flows to achieve maximum sales volume potential for products and services
  • Manages and develops sales promotions strategy and expense budget
  • Establish new distribution channels eg MFI’s.

 

Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA’s)

 

  • Ensure that short and long-term business plans meet Corporate visions.
  • Ensure growth and development of the Company’s retail channel
  • Ensure that national sales objectives are met
  • Ensure that there is sustained Retail sales growth of the Company’s products.
  • Ensure that Mobile Money Agents are motivated and operate their businesses efficiently
  • Ensure set market penetration targets are achieved in regions

New routes to markets are established as per Channel Strategy

Qualifications

 Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • A Master’s degree or Professional qualification in Marketing would be an added advantage

 

Experience:

  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in a sales environment as well as operating a dealer Management function.
