To manage the processes and activities for optimal spectrum utilization and interference free operations in alignment with Uganda Communications Commission’s mandate, national spectrum policy objective as well as regional and international best practices.

Primary Tasks/Responsibilities
• To lead the development and implementation of technical parameters, mechanisms and tools for spectrum utilization and interference management;
• To lead the investigation and diagnosis of each interference problem and identification of action required to correct/mitigate the interference
• To manage the functionality of spectrum monitoring systems and associated contracts for optimal operations;
• To lead the preparation of administrative and technical correspondences or inquiries on spectrum occupancy and utilization, interference complaints and resolutions;
• To manage the spectrum audit process including spectrum occupancy measurement and transmission coverage to facilitate effective spectrum planning and authorization;
• Education and Professional qualifications
• A Masters’ Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Radio Communications Engineering or a related field;
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, Radio Communications Engineering or a related field;
• Membership in Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers (UIPE) or other recognized Engineering professional body is an added advantage.

Working Experience
Four (4) years of relevant working experience in the telecommunications or ICT related sector or setting.
