Job Title: SITE LIFTING SUPERVISOR

Reports To: SITE/MECHANIC SUPERVISOR

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for all day to day lifting planning as per company programme.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all lifting activities,
  • compliance with safety regulations, and coordination with the lifting team

Responsibilities/Key

Deliverables

Lifting Operations Oversight:

  • Supervise and coordinate all lifting activities on the construction site or
  • within the industrial facility.
  • Ensure adherence to safe lifting practices and compliance with relevant
  • regulations.

Safety Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures related to lifting
  • operations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments before lifting
  • tasks.

Team Coordination:

  • Collaborate with crane operators, riggers, and other personnel involved
  • in lifting operations.
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to the lifting team to ensure safe
  • and efficient operations.

Equipment Inspection:

  • Regularly inspect lifting equipment to ensure proper functioning and
  • compliance with safety standards.
  • Report any defects or issues and ensure timely maintenance and repairs.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, including permits,
  • certifications, and inspection reports.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management regarding lifting operations.

Communication:

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to
  • coordinate lifting activities with project schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with the lifting team to ensure smooth
  • operations.

Risk Assessment:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for each lifting operation and
  • implement necessary precautions to minimize risks.

Training:

  • Provide training to lifting personnel on safety procedures, equipment
  • operation, and industry best practices.

Person Specifications

Education & Training

Resume building service
  • JCI certification and training for lifting supervisor as per BS 7121 Part
  • 1:2006 & Part 3:2000 and requirements LOLER 1998
  • Medical Fitness to work certificate

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum experience of 10 years.
