Job Description
Save the Children International is currently recruiting for the Sponsorship Systems Coordinator at our field Office in Wakiso. The Sponsorship Systems Coordinator is responsible for administering overall sponsorship database (ASISt) and processes to enhance the sponsorship recording, monitoring and reporting system to a high quality standard with accuracy and timeliness. Ensure that sponsorship operations requirements are met as defined by the Policy and Procedure Manual. This role will occasionally or as may be required also to supplementary support IT department to facilitate the development, management and maintenance of the IT environment and infrastructure for better sponsorship rollout, provide technical support for secure, efficient and effective IT operations/solutions, trouble-shooting and resolving computer and internet related issues, network administration and maintenance of all computer related equipment and software, to include updating of Windows and Anti-virus files. The job holder may be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency team in cases of humanitarian crisis.
To be successful for this role, you will have/bring the following:
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field from a recognized university. Other qualifications in computer networking, information security and database systems will be an added advantage.
• 5 years of progressive experience in sponsorship operations some of which should have been in sponsorship systems.
• Critical thinking/questioning, self-drive and innovative
• Proven IT knowledge, skill and experience in database management.
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Health, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection program delivery
• Ability to speak the local language and directly interact with target group will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical skills and strategic planning abilities.
• Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team.
• Willingness to travel and work in hard-to-reach areas, occasionally under strenuous conditions.
• Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
• Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
• Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Ability to intervene with crisis management or troubleshooting as necessary.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching
• Excellent time management and planning capacity
• Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
