The Desert Locust Control Organization for Eastern Africa (DLCO-EA) is a Regional Organization established by an International Convention signed by the Governments of Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Our mandate is to control Migratory Pests namely; Desert locusts, Quelea birds, Armyworms and Tsetse flies and ensure food security in the Region.
The Organization invites applications to fill the positions of Director, Pilots, and an Aircraft Engineer. The applicants must be Nationals of the contracting Member States listed above. Applications closing date for all the jobs is 15th November 2021.

3. Job Title: Spray Pilot (3)
Introduction:
The Pilot is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flights assignments. He/she is responsible to the Chief Pilot to carry out flights in accordance with the general operational plans. However, he/she may be required to perform other duties which may be delegated to him/her by the Chief Pilot.
Job Classification: Professional Staff.
Terms of Appointment: Three (03) years Contract (Renewable)

Salary and Benefits: A competitive Salary and benefits package will be offered according to the Organization’s salary structure.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
1 Commercial Pilot License (CPL),
2 A Minimum of 1,000 total flying hours,
3 Aged between 25-50 years.
4 Tail dragger, agriculture aviation spraying experience, instructors rating and a Diploma or above in Sciences will be an added advantage.
