Job Description


Geologist

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate the Well SORs preparation in close collaboration with the geophysicists, reservoir engineers, Operation Geology and drilling teams (objectives, well trajectory, target box, section TD criteria, data acquisition).
  • During drilling operations, work together with the Ops Geology, geophysicist, reservoir engineers and Drilling teams to safely deliver the wells and achieve their objectives.
  • Participate in the analysis of the geological data and apply the best practice in managing these data together with the Geoinformation team.
  • Participate in the reservoir models update with new data collected during the drilling campaign.
  • Contribute to the documentation and reporting required by the Local Authorities
    (PRR, ARR,…)
  • Propose continuous improvements on the way the team (2G) works.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Geologist with practice in the following competencies: geological & structural interpretation, structural modeling, reservoir modeling, log interpretation, petrophysical synthesis & modeling, well preparation, uncertainty analysis, reservoir characterization.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy and delivery

  • Develop the Company CSR Strategy and execute action plan in line with the Company’s Ambition 2026.
  • Develop a framework for project design, execution, sustainability, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Manage contracting and procurement and
  •  project management of approved CSR projects.
  • Manage the CSR team.
  • Work collaboratively with key internal departments to shape the Company’s approach on key CSR topics.

 Communication

  • Define a CSR communication plan within the affiliate. Deliver IEC and communication materials to internal and external stakeholders to promote awareness of the Company’s’ CSR initiatives and outcomes.

Relations with authorities, Joint Venture partners, Contractors and other stakeholders

  • Ensure the buy-in of relevant stakeholders for supported projects.
  • Build relationships with multilateral and bilateral development institutions and development NGOs to ensure coordination and collaboration in the development and implementation of activities in the Albertine region and explore opportunities for partnership.
  • Build relationships with Project Contractors and Subcontractors to promote coordination and collaboration in the selection, design and delivery of their CSR objectives using relevant criteria including needs assessment, footprint/distribution of initiatives, selection of target group.

Reporting

  • Monitor other operators’ CSR strategy.
  • Undertake benchmarking efforts, third party disclosures and involvement in industry initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University Degree in Development, Communication, Political science, Economics, Rural development, Agronomy, Sociology, Project management Or engineering school / Or Business school degree.
  • At least 6 years’ experience managing community projects, development projects and/or in other similar area (NGOs, donors, State development funds, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain good relations with a wide range of local stakeholders, NGOs, donors, local authorities, local communities.
  • Capacity to work in the field
  • Good report writing and analytical skills.

Planning and Development Engineer

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Team:

  • Share technical knowledge and HQ/aboard experience feedback to increase team members’ technical autonomy.
  • Share key finance / economics knowledge to increase members’ finance awareness related to Energy investment.
    Corporate Planning:
  • Support the Long-Term Plan of the subsidiary through its entire process: preparation with Company’s entities (technical and cost inputs), consolidation with the economist, and reporting/presentation to HQ.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual Work Program and Budget, and more specifically be the interface with the technical teams for the preparation, consolidation, and reporting/presentation.
  • Contribute to the consolidation of the Integrated Operations Planning within
  • Company’s and ensure the process, governance and tools are in place to facilitate management meetings and definition of action plans.
  • Support the preparation of the annual reserves exercise (Prime) by providing costs and schedule assumptions.

Development:

  • Support the coordination of petroleum architecture / development studies (screening, concept, pre-project) performed within the subsidiary or by HQ
  • Contribute to the preparation of decision support package and participate in quality reviews and any other Committees to sanction new developments.
  • Support the definition of the Master Development Plan beyond Tilenga
    Water Floor FID case to increase plateau duration.
  • Support the follow-up of the power requirements of the integrated upstream / midstream assets and associated technical interfaces.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the roadmap to reduce GHG emissions.
  • Support commercial agreements negotiations (LPG, Common Development
    Allocation Agreement, PPA and Electricity Tariff).

Joint Venture:

  • Support JV and FIN teams in the annual Work Program & Budget process with Partners and Authorities.
  • Support the supervision of the technical follow-up of Operated-By-Other Asset, through technical reviews and budget monitoring.

Business Intelligence:

  • Deliver business insights through market analyses to support commercial activities.
  • Use analytics to develop benchmarks and support subsidiary’s performance improvements.
    Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s in engineering with multi-disciplinary experience in Oil & Gas industry (candidate could be considered if holding 10+ years’ experience in non-oil and gas or energy sector).
  • MBA or relevant Master’s degrees are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years in oil and gas industry. Planning, contract management, and/or
  • project management experiences are plus.
  • Good communication organized and analytical skills.
