Job Description


Assist the Senior Technician in formulating, reviewing and maintaining standard operating procedures for use in the work place (laboratories).

Key, Duties and Responsibilities
1. Implement guidelines and regulations to ensure safety in the workplace;
2. Maintain equipment and facilities in a functional condition;
3. Assist in the preparation of students’ practicals, industrial training, internship and fieldwork;
4. Participate in research and consultancy for best practices;
5. Implement standard operating procedures in the work place;
6. Maintain a safe and clean working environment;
7. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications
An Ordinary Diploma in Science Technology, (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or Medical Laboratory Technology or Engineering.

Experience
At least three (3) years’ experience in similar work

Skills/Competences
1. Knowledge of relevant equipment and facilities;
2. Teamwork and interpersonal skills
3. Ability to communicate precisely and concisely;
4. Analytical skills;
5. Proficiency in using machines and computers;
6. Time management;
7. Concern for safety.
