Job Description


Plan, manage and monitor the transport system and operations of the University.

Key, Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide technical guidance to the Director on procurement of new vehicle and disposal of old and/or obsolete vehicles;
2. Coordinate operation and maintenance of all vehicles and track daily allocations;
3. Coordinate the servicing of all University vehicles;
4. Coordinate licensing and re-licensing schedules for all vehicles and their allocations in or out of the University;
5. Issue fuel and maintain proper records;
6. Supervise drivers and provide for their welfare;
7. Oversee traffic in the University;
8. Maintain proper records on all vehicles servicing schedules and records of all garages that service/ repair University Vehicles;
9. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fleet Management field from a recognized University or Institution.

Skills/Competences
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills;
• Computer literate;
• Knowledge in project management, planning and budgeting.

Tenure of Appointment 4 years
