Job Description


The Van Sales Representative is responsible for direct sales, delivery, and merchandising to retail outlets (e.g., supermarkets, kiosks, grocery stores) within an assigned route. This role is the primary link between the company and retail customers, ensuring product availability and visibility.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Drive a sales van to service an assigned route of retail customers daily.
  • Sell, deliver, and merchandise products directly to retail outlets.
  • Achieve daily sales targets for assigned product ranges.
  • Collect payments and ensure accurate accountability of cash and stock.
  • Build rapport with retailers, take orders, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure company products are correctly priced, faced, and prominently displayed.
  • Report on competitor activities, stock levels, and market trends.

Qualifications or requirements

Education

  • KCSE Certificate minimum; Diploma in a business-related field is an advantage.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Experience needed

  • Proven experience (1+ years) in field sales, preferably in FMCG.

Additional details

  • Valid driver’s license (Class BCE desirable).
