and production of Agricultural Produce E.g. Processing of Maize flour, Rice & Rice Porridge,
Kwik Instant Porridge, Baby Porridge, Gnats, Millet Flour
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In
this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial.
statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will also be in charge of
maintaining cash budgets and records.
Responsibilities:
• In charge of maintaining Cash budgets and records e.g. Customer Invoices, Supplier Invoices, payment Voucher, cheque books, Cash receipts, Bank statements, General ledger etc.
• Prepare customer invoices.
• Ensuring that all documents are properly filed.
• Follow-up on Customer payment in case of credit sells.
• Prepare daily, monthly and yearly financial statement Reports.
• Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
• Create and update expense reports, and process reimbursement forms.
• Prepare requisition and payment vouchers and follow-up on external evidence i.e. receipts and invoices where applicable.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and
• Ensure timely posting of data in the QuickBooks system.
• Review and reconcile accounts, process payments to external partners, and maintain. updated records of invoices and receipts.
• Any other duties as assigned to you by the company manager /head of finance.
Qualifications:
• A Bcom in Accounting, BBA in Accounting, or a BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field is preferred, CPA Level 2 Added advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and software proficiency. –
• Attention to detail and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, familiarity with finance regulations (GAAP, ISAs). Good math skills, and the ability to spot numerical errors.
• They should also have hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), organization skills, and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
