Desert Locust Control Organization for Eastern Africa
The Desert Locust Control Organization for Eastern Africa (DLCO-EA) is a Regional Organization established by an International Convention signed by the Governments of Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Our mandate is to control Migratory Pests namely; Desert locusts, Quelea birds, Armyworms and Tsetse flies and ensure food security in the Region.
The Organization invites applications to fill the positions of Director, Pilots, and an Aircraft Engineer. The applicants must be Nationals of the contracting Member States listed above. Applications closing date for all the jobs is 15th November 2021.

Job Title: Aircraft Engineer (1)
Introduction:
The Aircraft Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the DLCO-EA Aircraft including all associated equipment at the Air Unit Base, as well as maintenance of the Aircraft in the field within and outside the DLCO-EA Region. However, he/she may be required to perform other duties delegated to him/her by the Chief Engineer or Senior Aircraft Engineer.

Job Classification: Professional Staff.
Terms of Appointment: Three (03) years Contract (Renewable)
Salary and Benefits: A competitive Salary and benefits package will be offered according to the Organization’s salary structure.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Diploma and above in Aeronautical Engineering (A & C) or equivalent
2. A professional Aircraft Engineering License (A & C) issued by a recognized airworthiness authority and must have piston engines endorsement in his/her license.
3 A minimum of three years of experience in piston engines.
4 Age 25-50 years.
5 Ability to work in harmony with people of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds highly desirable.
