Biyinzika Poultry International Limited (BPIL) is a leading integrated Poultry Company and a recognized household brand within Uganda. BPIL produces and distributes quality day-old chicks under Broilers, Layers & Sasso breeds. BPIL Poultry feeds are UNBS and HACCP certified and are sold through over 40 branches within Uganda, Agents and the East African region. BPIL also produces chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken Brand.

BPIL is looking to recruit suitable candidates for the position below.

JOB TITLE: Area Sales Manager
DUTY STATION: Various regions

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support and training to existing customers/farmers in the area of operation by liaising closely with branch managers.
• Drive and improve biosecurity & poultry management practices in customer farms so that they are successful enough to survive and grow their poultry businesses.
Identify sales opportunities that may exist in the marketplace for poultry products.
• Conduct farmers’ trainings to ensure customers are equipped with technical knowledge to run their poultry businesses.
• Achieve set monthly Day-Old Chicks and Feeds Sales targets.

Education: Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine or Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Animal) or Bachelor of Animal Production and Management.

Experience: 2-3 years working experience in a similar role in a busy commercial environment. Experience in extension work is an added advantage.

Knowledge & Competencies:
Hard working and persuasive, quick decision making and highly intelligent, good interpersonal skills, flair for sales, excellent communication skills, willingness to be based anywhere in the country and relocated at any time. Experience in the poultry industry is an added advantage.
