Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within the Cambridge Curriculum. The successful candidate will work closely with the lead teacher to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment while supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering classroom activities.
- Assist in implementing lessons aligned with the Cambridge Curriculum.
- Provide individual and small-group support to students to enhance learning outcomes.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, breaks, and school events as required.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching resources, displays, and learning materials.
- Monitor student participation and progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher.
- Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the Cambridge Curriculum (mandatory).
- Relevant teaching qualification or certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good classroom management and organizational skills.
- Passion for supporting teaching and learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in an international school setting.
- Familiarity with Cambridge Assessment International Education programmes.
- Strong ICT skills for supporting teaching and learning.
