Reporting to the Accountant, you will be responsible for receiving cash deposits and for paying out cash against properly authorised disbursement and cash payment vouchers, and for the safety of all the cash in the till under your control

Main Tasks:
• To be responsible for receiving all the cash deposits made by the MITOOMA PEOPLES TRUST SACCO’s clients, and for seeing to the correctness of the cash so deposited and the deposit slip against which the deposit is made.
• To be responsible for paying out cash to clients
• against their disbursement documents, seeing to the correctness and proper authorization of such documentation
• To be responsible for paying out cash in respect of the MITOOMA PEOPLES TRUST SACCO’s own purchases and other disbursements, for ensuring that such payments are properly authorized.
• To be responsible for the safety of all cash in the till and counter, and for ensuring that the cubicle is securely locked whenever you are moving out of it for any reason.
• To attend to any other matters as may from time to time delegated by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
• Should have at least a Diploma in Business Administration/Accounting or finance related course from recognized institution
• Must be computer literate
• Working experience of at least one year in a recognized financial institution
• Should be trainable and able to work in any of our SACCO branches.
• Aged between 22-35 years.
