Job Description
Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancies on contract that exist under the USAID Government to Government Assistance to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital Activity.
Title: Bio-Statistician
Job Ref: HRM-MRRH-G2G-22-02
No of Vacancies: One
Age: Below 50 years
Purpose: Apply statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information.
Person Specifications
• Must have an honors degree in Biostatistics / Statistics Quantitative economics from a recognized Institution
• Experience in data management preferably in health data will be an added advantage.
Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Must be result focused and be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines;
Duties and responsibilities
• Participate in data management activities including designing tools, collecting data, data cleaning, and analysis of data generated in the hospital.
• Presentation of statistical reports for management (monthly, weekly)
Actively participate in preparation of quarterly, data and performance review meetings
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
• Participate in capacity building of other staff in data collection, analysis and use.
• Participate in technical assistance with the Ministry of Health team to the lower health facilities in data use.
