AAR health services (U) Ltd was primarily a Kenya health insurance company that started operating in 1984 as an air and road ambulance service under the name Air Africa Rescue. AAR started in Uganda 1994, due to emerging market opportunities that led us to evolve into two independent companies in 2012. AAR health care providing quality and affordable health care solutions through clinics and emergency rescue services and AAR health services providing a wide range of insurance solutions to individuals and corporate organizations.

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager encompasses trainings, monitoring evaluating and managing the performance of sales agents during execution of their core duties that include, new business acquisition. Retention of existing business and external stake-holder relationship management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining business Agency Teams
  • Enhancing relationships between agents and clients by ensuring regular participation in the stake holder events /meetings both physical and online
  • Actively participate in the formulating of sales strategies and setting agents targets
  • Directing sales agents on how to develop and maintain a good sales pipeline
  • Directing sales agents in discussing and assessing clients’ current and future insurance needs
  • Keeping up-to-date with the new business trends and advising management about the same.
  • Negotiating policy terms and costs with clients
  • Ensuring accurate and timely submission of reports
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date record keeping
  • Direct agents in renewing or amending existing policies for clients

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related fields
  • At least three years’ experience supervising a sales team
  • Experience in a Business Development Manager role is an added advantage
