Job Description


Job Title : Communication & Public Affairs Officer.
Salary Scale : URBRA 5
No. of Vacancies : 01
Reports To : Senior Communication and Public Affairs Officer

Purpose of the Job
To support the implementation of communication and public relations strategies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the implementation of communications and public relations strategies aimed at advancing the mission and objectives of URBRA
• Establish and maintain proactive and effective working relationships with the media.
Prepare responses to requests for information from the media, other stakeholders and the general public.
• Gather information, write articles for URBRA’s publication
• Contribute to the development, production and delivery of URBRA messages.
• Update URBRA’s digital communication platforms
• Organize media events, conferences, workshops, and presentations for informational purposes.
• Represent URBRA at meetings, conferences and workshops and other forums.
Support the implementation of the Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

Qualifications
Honors Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, English Language Studies, or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field.
Experience
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in corporate communication and public relations practice in a reputable institution.

• Ability to conduct information gathering, surveys, interviewing skills, report writing
