About US:

A Global Healthcare Public Foundation (AGHPF) is a Ugandan Registered Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with offices in Kampala, Uganda. The Foundation has been in operations for over 18 years carrying out most of its work in Sub Saharan Africa.

Job Summary:

The Communications Officer will be responsible for the organisation’s communication both internally and externally.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing all communication to interested parties.
  • Managing all Media platforms and engagements.
  • Responsible for all documentaries of the Foundation’s work to include videography and photography
  • Responsible for all Foundation publications from creation to print.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in communication related field
  • Previous experience working on USG funded projects is added advantage.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in providing administrative support to executives and/ or senior management teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills; communicates sensitively, effectively and creatively on relevant issues.
  • Demonstrated writing experience.
  • Proficiency in design and publishing software.
  • Experience in website and social media management
