ActionAid Uganda (AAU), a National Development Organization registered under the laws of Uganda and with a local Board seeks to recruit suitably qualified, self-driven, result-oriented, and competent person to fill the position of; Creative Artivism Inspirator – Apac.
Job Title :Creative Artivism Inspirator
Reports to : Manager Global Platform Uganda
Responsible for : None
Directorate : Programmes
Location : Apac
Contract Period : 6 Months
Salary +Benefits : Ugx 1,300,000 Gross Monthly; Medical Insurance
Job Role: Enhance the capacities of staff, Youth Groups, Activistas and partners to enable them embrace and integrate HRBA principles using Artivism into their interventions and programming for sustained change.

Key Result Areas and Activity

1.Creative Artivism is used in networking, advocacy and campaigning activities, including media advocacy to hold duty bearers and leaders on accountability
• Provide continuous and connected hands on capacity building technical support for young people, Youth groups and Activista with artivism related activities
2.10 COVID19 related information and awareness raising initiatives completed with Activists, and creatives
• Support the development of alternative messaging on preventive measures for communities without access to running water and soap using creatives
3.Information from Ministry of health and other government agencies shared on social media pages
• Share information on available public services related to covid-19 and package it in a creative way
4.Support at least 10 online engagements and trainings by improving on designs of posters
• Will support GPU online engagements with creative Posters and creative modules of engagements
5.20 messages developed and disseminated through innovative mediums
• Support the Use of television, radio, community radio, SMS, phone calls, helplines, posters, and other innovative mediums to reach out to people and increase awareness about the transmission of coronavirus and protective measures
6. 70 social media posters, videos and infographics developed and shared.
Develop and share social media posters, videos, infographics and social behavioral change communication

Qualifications:

• University Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or equivalent from a recognized institution; a post graduate qualification in any of the above disciplines will be an added advantage
• At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience from a recognized institution, preferably an NGO.
• Experience in conducting creative activism and artivism training, preferably in a development context
• Planning and Budgeting skills; Capacity building skills; Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills; Community mobilization and facilitation skills; Team player; Confidence, openness and willingness to learn; Self-driven; Ability to work in community setting.
