Deputy Director – Geology & Reservoir Project Team
Location: Kampala, Uganda.
Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other cities if required.

Primary function:
To provide advice and technical control for the geological research work of the exploratory development areas, including technical method planning, general research plan composing, new well geological design, welldrilling performance tracking and the organization of the composition in the potential capacity adjustment plan etc.

Responsibilities:
• Establish geology technical standards and supervise execution.
• Review and technically supports the planning geological project arrangement and technical method, geological relative research plan, project operation plan and the annual targets and the research work.
• Audit and technically control for the oil field geological research work with deep research in the structure and the reservoir bed,
Audit and technically control for the oil field geological research work with deep research in the structure and the reservoir bed, the organization of the demonstration in the new well location, well-drilling performance tracking and composing as well as the adjustment proposals.
• Organize analysis of the oil field geological materials and establish the potential capacity adjustment plan. Audit and technically support geology studies of PRR/FDP and implementation.
Audit and control the plan of the development wells geological data acquisition, and the various updated geological atlas like the structure map, sand isopach map, reservoir section, etc.
• Audit the reservoir data, which will be submitted to partners and Gou, and materials for meeting.
• Lead the advanced methodology in the field geological research and field development and introduce it to the subordinates to create new technology new technique and new melhodology transfer.
Audit and verify the design of the development wells and provide advice.
• Coach, develop and motivate employees including local staff, training junior reservoir engineer or trainee.

Requirements:
• Master’s degree or above in Geology or related profession of petroleum, possess senior technical titles. At least 10 year working experience of geological operation in oil and Gas industry.

Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge of reservoir research methods of FDP Familiar with knowledge of geophysics, logging and mud log.
• Knowledge of Geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir
engineering.
• Be aware of standard oil law, policies and legislations.
