Windle International Uganda (WIU) is a registered International NGO whose mission is to promote peace and development in communities through provision and coordination of education and training for refugees and people affected by conflict.
WIU is part of Windle International (WI), an INGO based across East Africa and the UK. WI has presence in Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, and the UK, and an office has recently been established in Rwanda. Together, we help over a million people access quality education across East Africa every year.
Since 1996, WIU has been the leading provider of access to education for refugees from Early Childhood right up to the Postgraduate level. We help people affected by conflict to fulfill their potential, lead fulfilling lives, and contribute to sustainable development.

Position: Director of Programs
Supervisor: Executive Director
Location: Head Office, Kampala

Job Purpose:
The Director of Programs (DOP) is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) at Windle International Uganda. He/She will oversee the Programs Directorate.
Responsibilities will include directing, administering, and managing day-to-day program operations. Overseeing the timely, and impeccable implementation of all projects within the terms of partnership agreements and project documents is vital. The DOP will also actively participate in developing fundraising strategies and identifying potential donors.
