Job Description


Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other cities if required.

Primary function:
Learn and assist in executing oilfield power system and electrical equipment maintenance preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in executing new oil- field power system and electrical equipment commissioning and start- up.
• Assist in collecting and following up on power system and electrical equipment-related issues left out by the engineering unit.
• Get familiar with power systems, electrical equipment, ESD and fire & gas system principles, position and performance.
• Learn to manage
• Emergency response as per the emergency response plan.
• Assist with operating power and electrical equipment, routine checks and records management.
• Participate in handling power systems and electrical equipment- related faults and report to senior electrical technicians, cooperate with other departments when necessary. Assist in carrying out electrical equipment preventive maintenance properly as per the PM plan.
• Ensure worksite cleanliness and safety is maintained.
• Participate in coordinating and Supervising electrical-related contractors onsite work.
• Execute instruction from senior electrical technician.
• Perform other duties assigned by superiors.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 0-2 years’ work experience is preferred with Oil & Gas industry background.

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of power systems and electrical equipment.
