Job Description
Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancies on contract that exist under the USAID Government to Government Assistance to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital Activity.
Title: Enrolled Midwife
Job Ref: HRM-MRRH-G2G-22-08
No of Vacancies: Two
Age: Below 50 years
Reports To: Assistant Nursing Officer (Midwifery)
Purpose: To provide midwifery services and contribute to project activities within the MNCH department
Minimum qualifications
• Must have a certificate in midwifery from a recognized institution
• Must be enrolled with the Uganda nurses and midwives’ council
• Must have a valid practicing license
Key outputs
• To receive expectant Mothers, register admissions, births and discharges
• To carry out antenatal care with emphasis on high risk cases and referring them
• To provide midwifery care during delivery
• To keep proper medical patients records
• To implement infection control measures and guidelines
• Participate in providing outreach services
• To participate in meetings in the clinic.
• To observe and enforce the ethical code of conduct
