Post: Environment and Energy Project Manager, DanChurchAid
Yumbe Office, Uganda
DanChurchAid (DCA) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Environment and Energy Project Manager, in Yumbe, West Nile, Uganda.

Position Summary:

Working under the supervision of the Head of Humanitarian Operations, the Environment and Energy Project Manager will lead the implementation of all Environment and Energy interventions in the DCA Humanitarian sector. He/she is responsible for roll-out and facilitate quality impact-focused interventions. This includes provision of technical advice, capacity building of staff, as well as influencing policy and practice through research, analysis and advocacy, and building resilience by linking to longer term programming. He/she will actively participate in new proposal/concept note development, project startup, ongoing support and daily technical backstopping of all Environment and Energy activities. He/she will also work closely with all team members, donors, partners and stakeholders in ensuring project outputs are of the highest quality and that expected results are achieved in a timely and efficient manner.

Required qualifications, skills and experience:

• Bachelor of Science Renewable Energy, Bachelor of Environmental Science and Natural Resources or a degree in a relate field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience preferably in management position implementing Environment and Energy programs in an IDP/ refugee setting or with an INGO;
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to think critically and creatively;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues. Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team;
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment. Must be flexible, willing to perform other duties and work irregular hours.
