Job Summary:
• To provide all round coordination of students’ general welfare at the school including feeding, accommodation, discipline, security and safety, medical care and social support services. The warden will provide pastoral support to the students. The Warden will offer peer counselling and mentoring and actively participate in providing 24/7 cover.

Duties and Responsibilities
• To ensure that all school rules, regulations and values are observed and obeyed by students.
• To receive and handle students’ grievances effectively.
• To ensure maintenance of cleanliness of the entire hostel environment.
• Ensure continuous availability of critical utilities at the hostel.
• To ensure that the hostel infrastructure/facilities are maintained in a proper state of repair and functioning.
• To ensure continuous information flow to School Administration about the state of affairs of the hostel.
• To take charge of students’ welfare in terms of feeding, accommodation and medical care.
• To take charge of the safe custody of School assets within the hostel premises.
• To ensure full time security and safety for students and property at the hostel.
• To ensure continuous and effective presence at the duty station.
• To assist School Administration in receiving, orienting and inducting new students at the training school.
• Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time by the relevant authority.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Diploma in Nursing from a recognised Institution
• Registration with Uganda Nurses’ and Midwives’ Council
• Minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar position.
• Training in basic administrative procedures.
• Good organizational skills.
• Capacity to make decisions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good Report writing skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Between 35-45 years of age.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
