Job Description


We are looking for a self-driven and results-oriented Field Sales Team Leader who will help Numida convert potential clients into successful loan applicants. This position will
report to Numida’s Marketing Manager. This role is reserved for someone who is highly energetic, a driver of performance and has great organizational skills.

Role Description:
As the Field Sales Team Leader at Numida, you will oversee the Sales and Marketing Interns, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful conversion of potential clients and achievement of sales targets. You will report directly to Numida’s Marketing Manager and play a key role in driving the marketing strategy forward.

Your Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of Sales and Marketing Interns, providing training, coaching, and ongoing support to maximize their performance.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement strategic initiatives to promote Numida’s offerings and expand its customer base.
• Set clear sales targets and performance metrics for the team, monitoring progress and providing feedback to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to optimize customer acquisition and conversion rates.
• Develop a systematic plan for visiting clients, considering factors such as distance, traffic conditions, and time constraints, continuously evaluate and adjust route planning strategies based on client feedback to optimize efficiency.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
• Conduct market research and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
• Act as a liaison between the sales team and other departments within Numida, facilitating communication and alignment on key objectives.
• Provide regular reports and updates to the Marketing Manager on team performance, key achievements, and areas for improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:
• BS/BA degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing, any business course or relevant field
• 1-2 years of previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
• A high level of self-motivation and initiative is required to drive team sales activities, and achieve targets consistently
• Strong organizational and planning skills to prioritize team tasks, manage time effectively, and achieve daily sales targets systematically
• The ability to identify challenges, analyze root causes, and develop creative solutions is valuable for overcoming obstacles and achieving sales objectives
• Proficient in computer and mobile technology – you are experienced with Android apps and desktop productivity software like Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc
• Verbal and written fluency in English and Luganda, Lusoga is an added advantage
• Ability to provide customer support using professional and clear language
• Knowledge about and practical experience with the principles of great customer care, and superb etiquette
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills and high levels of empathy – you are patient enough to truly listen to and understand the needs and wants of Numida’s users, and can address their questions or concerns.
