SeaOwl Energy Services is part of the SeaOwl Group, an international service provider specialised in a wide range of Recruitment, Manpower Contracting & Management, Asset Management, Training, Professional Services and Integrated Services for the Construction, Energy, Extractives, Logistics, Mining and Manufacturing sectors.
On behalf of our Client in the Extractives sector, we are looking for competent individuals to fill the following position:

ACTIVITIES
The job holder is responsible for:
• Promotes IT service (existing and new) results and trends.
• Ensure that IT actions are compliant with the affiliate HSE policies and regulations.
Takes into consideration attention to hardware handling and security risks.
Ensure quality user support by monitoring the centralized Service Now desktop and the supervision of the proximity support
• Ensure the infrastructure hardware is updated and actual records of spare part
• Ensure the regular backup of the servers and the quality of the backup result.
• Provide technical support and operational assistance; and undertake rollout of infrastructure applications used by all entities
• Performs site visits as needed to ensure required maintenance and support
• Prepares reports regarding infrastructure deployment/maintenance/troubleshooting progress in coordination with line manager
Identifies and reports on critical issues that would hinder the functioning of operations to line manager
• Contributes to promoting IT services (existing and new), results and trends across business
• Communicates technical documentation to end-user related to applications field
• Manages IT security devices in collaboration with the Group; and defines/updates information security policies, standards, and procedures in close coordination with the Group
• Implements, maintain, and test the DRP in coordination with the Business continuity Plan
• Participate in operations related activities with end user support (printers, computers and incidents and request management) and infrastructure (servers, storage, data centre and backup solution
• Maintain an updated inventory and documentation of operational changes related to IT infrastructure
Responsible for operations network infrastructure, server/data storage management and backup systems
• Responsible for the site (Head-Office and Field) equipment, server installation and support
• Be part of the IT Service Management processes of the affiliate and HQ
• Exchange with remote teams at HQ for 2nd and 3rd level support and maintenance
• Produce and keep updated all IT architecture and design
• Responsible for projects related to storage, archiving, databases, servers, DRP, physical security systems, identity management systems, data center UPS and cooling system
Scope definition and technical analysis for all projects within he/she domain

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Qualification:
• Engineering degree in Computer Science/Bachelor of Computer Engineering or related fields.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the IS domain with previous experience in Business Applications Support
• Expert technical knowledge of applications support using ITIL processes and tools; knowledge of database systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, Oracle, SQL);
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office packages, Mail Systems, Internet, and Intranet Technology
• Good organizational skills, autonomy, attention to detail, reactiveness, multitasking ability, operating in a multinational environment, team spirit and ability to see the big picture.
• Good leadership, initiation, and communication skills amongst internals & externals stakeholders.
Strong cohesion with the network and telecommunication team for application access.
• Fluent in English both (Spoken/Written), French is a plus for collaboration with HQ
• Execution of activities in line with company and government policies
