Finance Manager

Area of Placement: Nurture Africa Head Office
Responsible for: Finance Team

Position Summary:
The Finance Manager (FM) is responsible for the proper implementation of all financial procedures in all Nurture Africa programs, manage the finance department and all the associated staff.

Job Description
• The Finance Manager will oversee these staff to ensure NA is maintaining effective and efficient accounting, financial records, accurate financial reports, practicing sound financial and cash flow management practices.
• Ensuring internal controls compliance for the department, cash management, payroll, financial budgets and disbursements.
• Ensure that she/he provides accurate analysis of expenditure, forecasting, and detailed management reports to guide senior management in decision making.
• Ensure all finance activities are in line with all current Nurture Africa financial policies, procedures, guidelines and donor requirements and are compliant with Ugandan taxation law.
• Provide evidence based advise to management to mitigate financial risks and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), adhere to grants management standards, and result in flawless audits

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related discipline.
• 5 years or more managing a finance team of more than 4 staff
• 8 years or more handling the local/international grants and grant financial reports
• Completed CPA, ACCA or CMA or other related designations
