JOB DETAILS:

Our client, Horyal Investments Holding Company Ltd has commenced the process to operationalize á leading new sugar factory at AtiakUganda ,East Africa. The Factory, jointly owned by the Government of Republic of Uganda ,with annual production capacity(APC). 60,000 Tonnes of granular sugar seeks to recruit competent persons for the following positions.
Job Title: General Manager
Reports to: CEO

Purpose:

To work directly under the top executive and will be dealing with the day to day details of each department or the organization such as production, human resources, sales and marketing, financial management and performance management.
You must act as a liaison between department level managers and the top executive.
You must be a strong leader with the ability to manage upper management employees and provide direction for workers at all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivering annual sales/revenue targets set by the board
• Ability to motivate internal sales teams
• Obtains profit contribution by managing staff and establishing and accomplishing business objectives.
• Increases management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling and disciplining managers, communicating values, strafegies and objectives, assigning accountabilities, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, developing incentives, cultivating a climate for offering information and Opinions and providing educational opportunities

Knowledge of and ability to manage product distribution channels

• Experience delivering expansion projects
• Work with the board and executive management to develop strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities, presenting analysis and recommending objectives and financial opportunities, presenting analysis and recommending objectives
• Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees, and enforcing ethical business practices
• Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field and technical services, policies and practices and coordinating actions with corporate staff
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state of the art practices and participating in professional societies
• Accomplish subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets and results measurements, allocating resources, reviewing progress and making mid-course corrections

Required Education qualification:

• A Masters in Business Administration or a Degree in Management studies is a plus

Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years relevant working experience in a large reputable organization in management.
• Age: 40 Years and above

Job Education: Masters in Business Administration

Job Experience: 10 years

Work Hours: 8
