Bujagali Energy Ltd owns and operates a 250MW hydro power plant on the Nile river, 8km north of Jinja, Uganda. The power plant was commissioned in 2012 and since then has been supplying energy to the Ugandan grid. The organization now desires to enroll Graduate Trainees on a one-year-long program based at the plant.
Job Title: Graduate Trainee – Civil
Reports to: Technical Manager

Specific responsibilities and duties include:
• Participate in all training programs of the company.
• Carry out concrete inspection, preventive maintenance and repair of civil structures.
• Execute civil works for Bujagali Energy Limited.
• Design, plan and organise resources (labour and materials) for civil works.
• Conduct monthly civil dam inspections, analysis and evaluation of the civil instrumentation results.
• Manage civil casual workers, preparing work schedules and payment timesheets
• Follow safety procedures and ensure safety of self and team mates at all times.
• Prepare necessary pre-works documents according to policy and procedure.
• Plan, schedule, conduct educational tours and guide site visits within the plant as situation demands

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
