The Grain & Cereal Sampler reporting to the Quality Controller based at the Company’s Head Office in Jinja will be responsible for obtaining representative samples from the field, farms or delivery trucks and delivering them to the Lab for analysis according to established procedures. This employee shall also be responsible for inspection of trucks to ensure they meet the standards for proper delivery of grain or finished products and are free from leaks, odors, infestation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grain & Cereal Sampler shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• To be a company ambassador as one of the first person to interact with the farmers/aggregators delivering grain
• To work with the Quality Controller to ensure the smooth running of all sampling requests
• To accurately sample bagged or bulk grain and cereals
• To arrange appointments with farmers/aggregators prior to visiting their premises for sample collection
• Ensure accurate completion of all paperwork
• To liaise with Quality Controller on a daily basis regarding progress of work
• Adherence to all company health and safety procedures
• Maintain grain sampling equipment properly
• Adhoc duties as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Completed O-Level
• Additional work experience may be substituted for deficiencies in the required education. • High level of attention to detail
• Reliable, self-motivated and hardworking
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to carry out simple IT tasks such as communicating sampling information electronically via a mobile handset
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
