Grants Officer Position: 1
Duty Station: Kalisizo

Job Summary
This position holder will provide support to the Grants office in managing third parties, budgeting and managing donor compliance.

Job Responsibilities
• Effective management of RHSP third parties (i.e. Sub grantees/Districts/PnFPs/CBOs/CSOs) for statutory and donor compliance.
• Ensure that all agreements and records, for third parties are well-maintained and updated.
• Support the capacity building of third parties in proper grants reporting.
• Conduct field monitoring visits to the third parties together with the Regional CBO programs officer and accountants, internal auditor, QC team.
• Participate in third party pre-award assessment activities.
• Review third party Budgets
• Submit budgets and funds requisitions for third parties in the share-point system.
• Produce third party monthly and quarterly reports in close collaboration with the
Regional CBO Programs Officer and Finance personnel
• Update the third-party tracker.
• Prepare monthly pipeline analysis report.
• Participate in quarterly financial reporting for CDC.
• Prepare documents for funding downloads.
• Liaise with Forgarty trainees in share point and focal person for RHSP.
• Budget for forgarty trainees in share point and follow up their payments.
• Ensure that all grant files are properly updated with the current award documents, budgets, scope of work, payments etc.
• Support the budgeting process for grants.
• Update the grants portfolio tracker.

Knowledge and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting from reputable University.
• Full professional qualification ACCA, CPA.
• Evidence of excellent quantitative skills e.g. good grades in a mathematical field at O and A level.
• Managing grants or finances for Donor funds for at least 2 years.
• Proficiency in using and Administration of Navision accounting software.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and other common financial software programs
• Strong Leadership skills and ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
