You’ll lead strategic and tactical engagement with host communities, local governments, and other relevant stakeholders, to support building strong relationships and executing our vision of enhancing partnerships during implementation of projects. Building relationships should come naturally and the successful candidate should be able to forge meaningful and prosperous relationships with communities, local authorities, community-based organizations, and other relevant stakeholders. The Head Community Relations should assess every social related situation during implementation of various projects and ensure adequate negotiation and problem-solving skills to find common solutions through transparent and honest conversations.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop an understanding of CREC 10’s business units and associated goals, including Major Projects in order to support consultation and engagement efforts by mitigating public concerns and pursuing opportunities to move engagement beyond transactional partnerships to trusting relationships.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive engagement plans and tactics to support the successful growth and execution of all Major Projects.
Implement strategies to minimize project-related impacts to the public and brief senior management on issues and opportunities.
• Solidify yourself as a trusted face, and a known collaborative, creative, problem-solver between the company, and local stakeholders during project planning and implementation
• Inspire and bring forth opportunities for improvement during our Major Projects to ensure feedback received from communities is implemented.

Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public policy, environmental/natural resource management, communications, social sciences or other related disciplines

Skills and experience
• A minimum of five (5) years of related experience in community relations during implementation of large scale infrastructure projects
• A detail-oriented and creative mindset with exceptional negotiating, communication and problem-solving skills.
A genuine and authentic personality that creates and builds trusting and lasting relationships.
• A passion for learning, understanding and supporting local communities.
• Strategic and able to understand the overall picture of any situation to achieve long term success.
• A confident communicator with excellent writing skills.
