JOB DETAILS:

Our client, Horyal Investments Holding Company Ltd has commenced the process to operationalize á leading new sugar factory at AtiakUganda ,East Africa. The Factory, jointly owned by the Government of Republic of Uganda ,with annual production capacity(APC). 60,000 Tonnes of granular sugar seeks to recruit competent persons for the following position.
Job Title: Head HR
Reports to: CEO

Purpose:

To initiate and implement Human Resource practices and strategies that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture which emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal achievement and ongoing development of a superior workforce that result in the attainment of the company’s objectives .

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Designing and aligning of the HR strategy with company strategy
• Designing and maintaining of all company job descriptions
• Talent acquisition (manpower planning, descriptions Talent acquisition manpower planning, advertising, conduct interviews, issue appointment
• Manage staff trainings and development (ensure TNis are captured during performance appraisal, design a training calendar as per TNIS, imparting trainings, measuring effectiveness of the training programmers) implementation of the HR Policy Manual
• Employee files and data management
• Employee life cycle management confirmations, contract renewals, promotions, transfers, exit management, etc)
• Manage staff compensation and benefits (salary increments, accidents compensations, etc) • Performance management (ensure KRAS & KPIs are well communicated and understood periodic reviews, appraisal and feedback, compile PMS data for annual salary reviews)
• Manage payroll of employees (leave, attendance, absenteeism, NSSF, PAYE, LST, etc)
• Enforcing healthy and safety at work place
• Manage staff welfare (Lunch, employee Identity cards, medical insurance, etc)
• Employee management relations/engagements: bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, meetings or other issues.

Specific knowledge & Skills:

• In-depth knowledge in human resource management practices,
• Excellent communication skills,
• Sound judgment,
• Basic computer skills,
• Excellent organizational skills
• Integrity
• proactive,

Required Education qualification:

• A Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or Business Administration from a recognized University.
• A postgraduate qualification in Human Resource or a Masters Degree would be of an added advantage.

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a large reputable organization including at least 3 years at a senior managerial level.
• Age: 35-45 Years

Job Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management

Job Experience: 5 years

Work Hours: 8
