Background

Joint Health Care Investments Ltd (JHC) is hiring a Head of Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership in driving organizational performance, sustainability, and growth by translating corporate strategy into effective operational plans and execution.

Responsibilities

The role is responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, ensuring efficient and compliant operations, leading high-performing teams, and continuously improving processes to support business growth and expansion.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Business- related course, or Finance related course, or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical sciences or Engineering or Business management or Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB.Ch B)

Additional advantage:

• Qualification of Pharmacy with work experience in manufacturing industry or pharmaceutical production industry; or
• Master of business administration or Post Graduate training in Business management, accounting or marketing

Experience:

• High level executive with substantial experience in business development, manufacturing and/or marketing
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development within the healthcare sector, preferably in manufacturing or marketing products and services to both local and international healthcare industry or someone doing business promotion of health-related commodities.
• Demonstrable experience in development of new products and services and bringing them to scale in the market in Uganda/East African Region.
