Job Description


Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide a day-to-day administration and management of the school
• Supervise and provide technical support to all teachers and support staff
• Organize and attend stakeholders’ meetings, PTA, SMC and conduct regular staff meetings at school to address any issues as required.
• Ensure effective and efficient management of school records, material resources and equipment for effective accountability.
• Prepare school progress and summary reports for presentation to senior management committee (SMC).
• Mobilize/sensitize the community on matters pertaining education Ensure that there is continuous assessment of pupil’s performance Promote quality teaching and safe learning environment for pupils
• Enforce discipline in the school under the teacher’s code of conduct and relevant Employer Policy guidelines.
• Provide counselling and guidance to teachers and learners.
• Provide counselling and guidance to teachers and learners.
• Coordinate with Head office and other key stakeholders on education issues.
• Be the accounting officer of the school.
• Promote child-safeguarding practices at school level.
• Perform any other duties assigned by relevant authority or related to his/her profession.

Qualifications and Relevant Experience
• Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Education (Masters or Post Graduate Diploma is an added advantage)
• Applicants MUST be registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports.
• Have a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in primary school administration and management.
• Have a minimum of five years’ relevant experience as a teacher Exhibit high level of professionalism and integrity.
• Possess mobilization and leadership skills and qualities.
• Possess the ability to easily interact with learners at different levels.
• Applicants must be highly motivated individuals willing to work in Mukono.
