Job Description


Acts as HSSE Implementer for the Retail & Commercial Class of Business.

Principle Accountabilities
• Contribute to achievement of Goal Zero by coordinating site inspections scheme, monitor effectiveness, provide timely feedback, including areas for improvement, and lead implementation of zero-tolerance for HSSE non-compliance.
• Develop & Monitor the Retail, Commercial HSSE Plan, integrating the HSSE Audit Plan, fully aligned with Vivo Energy HSSE Key Priorities, with clear targets & deliverables.
• Implement & Monitor of HEMP (Hazard Management Process) in Retail, Commercial
• Drive HSSE site inspections, provide support to line managers/contract holders on site audits and effectively co-ordinate/monitor OU site inspections (HSSE audits, Self-Assessments, Permit to Work Procedures Audits, etc) scheme.
• Disseminate Toolbox talks to all department staff and contractors on a weekly basis.
• Contribute to improvement in contractor safety management via support to Contract Holders to manage contracts with risks in the RED/YELLOW bands.
• Complete IsoMetrix reporting as agreed timeline for Retail/ Commercial.
• Facilitate investigation/analysis of all incidents, participate in reviews by the Retail/ Commercial Line Managers, follow-up recommendations and be responsible for effective cascade of LFIs (Lesson from Incidents).
• Health Risk Assessment Remedial Action Plan(PAPs) – Support Line, Industrial Hygienists and HRA Practitioner in conducting site HRA reviews and follow up on RAPs closure, and ensure no overdue CoB RAPs.
• Support on Environmental Audits/ Environmental Impact Assessment’s for new & existing sites
• Act as a security focal point for Retail/ Commercial.
• Provide support to HSSE-Critical positions in Retail/ Commercial to be competence-assured, including front-line staff, and implement management controls for staff with “Skill” competence gaps.
• Support line managers in achieving compliance to ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018, 17025:2017 requirements, and other certifications

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• At least 5 years’ experience in Health, Safety, Security and Environment Management or Operations within a busy high-risk environment.
• Knowledge of ISO standards {9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018}, certification, and maintenance + managing Transport HSSE, Oil & Gas experience are added advantages.
• Well organized, team player and excellent interpersonal skills;
• Good understanding of relevant Health & Safety legislation;
• Passion for HSSE
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
