Career Options Africa Group is a HR Consultancy firm specialized in Local and International recruitment, HR outsourcing and immigration support in Africa with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Nigeria, South Africa and South Sudan.
Our client, a tour operations company in Uganda, is looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join their growing team.

THE JOB
As the HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the human resources function to support our talented workforce in delivering exceptional travel experiences.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
• Monitoring the performance of all the departments.
• Suggest and implement advanced, best practices HR strategies, laws and procedures.
• Being part of the disciplinary hearing team by ensuring all laws have been followed in reaching a better and fair decision.
• Drafting all employment contracts and making attestation of all documents on behalf of the company and employees.
• Communicate with government authorities in any compliance matters.
• Ensure legal compliance throughout Human Resource Management.
• Manage and oversee the whole recruiting and hiring process and ensure that the company gets the best candidates.
• Oversee payroll submissions and payments.
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
• Maintain human resource staff job results by planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
• Maintaining and updating employees’ records and files.
• Ensuring discipline and professional code of conduct are abided in the working station.
• Maintain proper documentation of all company documents with confidentiality.
• Participate in the development of policies, strategies, and other planning tools as may be required from time to time.
• Undertake such other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time to ensure the attainment of the Company’s objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
The job holder should have the following qualifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• Proven experience of at least 4 years as an HR manager role.
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
• Strong understanding of recruitment and onboarding processes.

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB
• The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized individual.
• Proficient in HRIS software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certification in HR is preferred but not required.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING THE RIGHT PERSON
We are offering a competitive gross salary of UGX 2.5 million to the right person.
