Job: Information and Communication Technology (I.C.T) Intern
Duty station : Kampala
Start of work: November 2022
The I.C.T Officer Intern will be working with and under the supervision of the Mission Technical ICT Referent
And the main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting in the installations of wired and/or wireless networks were needed as well as set up office equipment like printers, video conference systems, Smart phones, and CCTV Cameras among others
• Assisting the deployment of Windows 10, and Office 365 among other software on office laptops
• Carry out assigned periodic preventive maintenance tasks on the ICT equipment.
• Provide support in updating ICT Documentation like Network maps, Asset inventories, and User “How to” Procedures among others
Assist in the support given to users to solve their ICT-related problems.
• Assist in the testing and setup of VHF/HF/Satellite Communication devices
• Follow up with ICT suppliers on products or services like Internet Installations, Printer/laptop repairs, and Communication issues among others
• Generate Monthly reports on ICT activities
Education: Diploma in Information and Communications Technology or equivalent
Experience: Fresh University Graduate.
Competences/ Skills: Team worker, Proactive, Flexible, Good written and Verbal communication, able to work With multicultural people.
