Company Overview: Lumen Trading Company is the trusted supply chain partner based out of Uganda focused in Logistics, Trade assistance and Quality assurance. We are currently looking for filling out the entry level positions in our Finance Department.

Job Description and Roles
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Assist with other accounting projects

Desired Candidate Profile
• The candidate should at least have a Bachelors degree in the similar discipline of this job.
• Good understanding on URA procedure
• Good Understanding on VAT, WHT and income Tax laws as per URA.
• Excellent knowledge on Microsoft Office, Tally or any accounting ERP.
• An excellent communicator both orally and written.
• The candidate should have a never ending passion to research and skill development
