To provide legal services to the company in accordance with the governing laws, company rules and regulations.

Key Performance Areas:
• Represent the company in Civil and Criminal Courts of Law.
• Coordinate the Police investigators and advise on all aspects of investigations;
Handle legal matters pertaining to and arising from the Service Territories;
• Provide support in all legal matters affecting the Company’s Operations;
• Liaise with and ensure the timely conclusion of all matters including those handled by external lawyers, and any other service providers to the Legal Department;
• To prepare service agreements and ensure timely renewal where necessary;
Prepare legal documents, briefs and reports for management on the activities of the company and to advise UEDCL on laws applicable to its businesses;
• To prepare Monthly and annual reports on sectional activities in accordance with UEDCL Policies and procedures;

Qualifications and Experience:
• A Bachelor of Laws Degree from a recognized university and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
• Must be enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court with a valid Practicing Certificate.
Must possess a minimum of 3 (three) years of post-enrolment legal practice and experience in a Law Firm or reputable organization.
• Must have knowledge and experience of both Civil and Criminal litigation, including investigation.
• Ability to translate legal concepts into an easily understandable format and to communicate them clearly.
• Must have a valid driving permit
