Job Description

The key responsibilities of the right candidate will include:
• Evaluating the structural design of lifting equipment and machinery in accordance with Bureau Veritas regulations or any other recognized standard
• Carry out Inspections in line with company requirements.
• Compile certificates and create Inspection reports for clients.
• Recommend remedial works to clients, when required.
• Advise clients on their legal requirements in relation to Lifting Equipment.
• Assist the back-office team with the planning and booking of Inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe and healthy working environment by following all relevant company policies.
• Contributing to the development and validation processes of Bureau Veritas Regulations and associated.

EDUCATION:
• At least a Higher Diploma in Engineering or related technical field.
• A minimum of 3 LEEA Diploma certificates, which includes: (LAC, MLM, PLM, & MOB.)
• A minimum of ASNT NDT Level II in MPI, PT and UT

EXPERIENCE:
• At least 5 years of lifting inspection experience.
• Experience if lifting operators training in Oil and Gas is an added advantage.
• Have similar working experience in international projects.

KNOWLEDGE:
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of lifting industry standards, such as BS EN, ISO, ASTM etc.
• Acumen technical audit and report writing
• High level of organization and commitment to work.
• Experience managing complex requirements to tight time scales.
• Strong communications skills both written and verbal in fluent English.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
• Knowledge of lifting equipment and good attention to detail
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements
• Frequent travel or site base required according to project arrangements.
• The inspector should be willing to travel to remote inspection site.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to spot problems and provide solutions.
