Responsibilities
• Develop and execute the Company’s business strategies to assure profitability, including across all business segments, and fulfill other company objectives.
• Provide strategic advice to the Board of Directors and provide an accurate view of the market and the Company’s future.
• Directing strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the business.
• Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities.
• Assuming full accountability to the Board of Directors and Shareholders for all Company operations.
• Ensure Company policies and legal guidelines are communicated and followed across board.
• Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, relevant authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee the Company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures.
• Ensuring operation objectives and standards are not only understood but owned by management and other employees.
• Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
• Review reports by lower rank managers to reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems.
• Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen the company’s profile.
• Taking remedial action where necessary and informing the Board of significant changes.

Qualifications
• Must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields; Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or Management from a Reputable Institution.
• An advanced degree in any of the mentioned fields and membership to a professional body will be an added advantage.
Details of experience
• At least 10 years’ experience leading teams of varied professionals.
• At least 3 years’ experience working with and reporting to the Board of Directors.
• Experience supervising and/or managing utility operations.
• Experience working with both Public and Private sector Finance Institutions.
• Experience working with government agencies including local government, ministries, and regulatory bodies.
• Experience managing budgets is a definite advantage.
