Job Description


The Role
The post holder will manage Marie Stopes Uganda (MSUG) Marketing, Communications and Advocacy program with the following goals
Ensuring high visibility for MSUG among stakeholders, and strengthening beneficial relations with Ministry of Health, development partners, Members of Parliament and Media. Development and implementation of cost-effective marketing and communication strategies for MSUG products and services
Support the development of policy and advocacy grant p proposals, i implementation and monitoring of advocacy activities.
Manage the MSUG Client Contact Centre Ensuring effective performance management of communication teams and individuals to meet MSI quality standards and agreed donor deliverables.

Key Responsibilities.
• Marketing Develop, implement, and monitor integrated marketing and communications strategies for all service delivery channels in close collaboration with channel leads
• demand-generation strategies to drive awareness of MSU products and services. Develop and monitor campaign budgets and provide timely reporting on all campaigns, department and their performance Communications
• Work closely with the partners, stakeholders, and other agencies to develop strategic Family Planning/ Reproductive Health communication plans and ensure that MSUG activities are in tandem with
• grants and maintenance of current portfolio to increase grant funding aligned to Marie Stopes Uganda strategy
• Internal Communications and Leadership •Ensure excellent internal communications to all staff, thereby building a team culture, support the mission as well as each other, and MSUG values and behaviours
• Identity and support all relevant organisational teams to correct any quality, compliance, operational or client care issues affecting communication activities to improve client outcomes Support and deliver training to ensure consistency in the quality and performance across all communications activities.

Minimum Requirements
• A master’s degree in marketing/Communication/ Public Relations/Public Administration/International Development/Social Work or relevant professional qualification
• Knowledge on Sexual Reproductive Health and rights.
• 7 years of experience in SRHR related work, prefer ably in the areas of marketing, advocacy, and communications.

Experience
• Demonstrated writing skils: the ability to develop quality concept notes, proposals, logical frameworks and reports under tight deadlines.
• A strategic thinker, the ability to develop proposals which meet strategic objectives of donors, MSUG and government
• Innovative and the ability to think outside of the box Team player, the ability to work as part of a diverse team to achieve the overall goal. Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

• Proven experience managing diverse teams to deliver complex programming on time and under

• 4-6 year experie in Contact Centre management
